Trish LaNauze

“I Got By with a Whole Lot of Help from My Friends” – One Woman’s Journey Through Breast Cancer.

Trish was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in July, 2024.  She completed all facets of treatments in July, 2025.

This presentation will focus on the remarkable resources available to breast cancer patients today and Trish’s experience with them, as well as a more personal examination of what a breast cancer diagnosis means in terms of not just physical, but mental and spiritual impact on the patient, family and friends.

Originally from small-town Central Ontario, Trish moved to Vancouver in 1978 and had a vibrant and eclectic career as a live performing arts events communications director and administrator. In 2000, Trish made a lateral move into the drug & alcohol addictions field, retiring in 2014 as Executive Director of a women’s treatment centre. Her “retirement “has been very active. She served on the Board of an international NFP in the alcoholism recovery field from 2019-2023, and most recently, co-ordinated 4,000 volunteers for the largest Convention to ever come to Vancouver. Trish lives in White Rock with her amazing husband, Arnie, and ancient cocker spaniel, Holly.

All vendors will also have a chance to spotlight their display. Time allowed for everyone will be determined by the number of attendees – usually 3-5 minutes. Come prepared to truly SHINE!
